Hi [member=31]Felix[/member] .. had this crazy thought :)

.. just imagine :)

Fulfillment by Maria (FBM): Like Amazon, MariaBuy could offer a fulfillment service called FBM or something more catchy, which would enable sellers to store their products in MariaBuy's fulfillment center and have MariaBuy to handle shipping and customer service.

:) crazy?

Let us say we started with the UK and Ireland :) .. I am serious :)

We could even go the extra mile by checking the quality of the goods > especially that they match the description (if possible) > this would result in Increased Trust and Credibility.

Just imagine.. providing a level of trust and credibility that is difficult to achieve through traditional fulfillment methods, especially for large corporations ;) Customers would know that when they purchase a product fulfilled by Maria, they are getting a high-quality product backed by our reputation for customer service and reliability. .. the reputation of course needs to be built from "0"

crazy? ;)

just checked the Amazon's business model (for the fulfillment centres), and here are number of fees that Amazon warehouses charge sellers:

  • Storage fees: FBA charges sellers a monthly fee to store their products in Amazon's fulfillment centers. The fee varies depending on the size and volume of the products and the time of year.
  • Pick & Pack fees: FBA charges a fee for each item that is picked and packed for shipment. This fee covers the cost of handling and packing the item, as well as preparing it for shipment.
  • Weight handling fees: FBA charges a fee based on the weight of each item that is shipped. The fee is designed to cover the cost of shipping and handling the item.
  • Removal fees: If a seller wants to remove their products from Amazon's fulfillment centers, they may be charged a removal fee.
  • Long-term storage fees: FBA charges a fee for products that have been in storage for more than 365 days. This fee is designed to encourage sellers to manage their inventory and remove items that are not selling.

hmmm... sounds like a solid business.. what do you say? :)

Hi [member=1]Helmuts[/member] .. crazy ideas moves the world! When someone says I have a crazy idea, you must listen carefully because it could be the next big thing!  :)

Besides Amazon, Printful and some other companies also implemented this business model. What they all have in common, they implemented the fulfillment business model only after their main business was successfully established. In the future, we definitely could implement this and many other features, but at the moment we can't build our house starting from the top or middle floor.

I appreciate your research on Amazon's FBA business model. It not only sounds, but it really is a solid business. But Amazon's FBA is much more than just storage. Amazon's FBA is directly related to Amazon Prime which guarantees 2-day free delivery or overnight delivery for supported countries.

Printful's fulfillment business model is based on other perks that are directly related to the print-on-demand industry.

Summing up all of the above, yes, we can do it, but like a child, we have to grow up to drive a car :)

If this happens then every buyer gets good quality of products according to product's descriptions.
And there is less chances of frauds and faults.
