This is a quick tutorial on how to change a Nominet tag for your .uk zone domain name.
Sometimes, when you cannot get your current registrar to change the IPS Tag of your .co.uk and .uk domains (the list of .uk zone is longer, though mostly used ones are .co.uk and .uk) to the needed new tag then you will need to do it directly through Nominet.
To do this better, I will break down this tutorial in small sections:

What is Nominet?
If you cannot get your current registrar to change the IPS Tag of your domains to our tag then you will need to do it directly through Nominet.
Nominet is the governing body who looks after all .UK domain name registrations.

How to login into your Nominet account?
If you would like to change your IPS Tag via Nominet simply visit:
https://secure.nominet.org.uk
Click the "First time logging in or forgotten your password?" link on that page.
Enter the email address that is associated with your domain name. This has to be the email address that was used when you first registered your domain name.
If you have forgotten or do not have access to that email you will need to follow the instructions on that page to re-establish your identity with Nominet.
Nominet will send an email to it containing a password to login to their system.

Changing the Nominet tag
Here is the direct link to view your domains: https://registrants.nominet.org.uk/app/#/domains
Select your domain name and choose: change registrar

In the new registrar' s details, please input your tag. For all HostMaria Cloud users it will be: STACK

Please follow their instructions, Nominet may charge a small fee in order to do that.

Now, when done > please inform your new registrar that it has been done.
